Object: Arita plate from the mid-Edo period (1760-90), decorated in underglaze blue.
Decoration: Two dragons in clouds.
Size: Diameter 18.5 cm (7.5").
Marks: "Eiraku nen sei" in Japanese kanji characters (underglaze blue) - a spurious Chinese Yongle reign mark.
State: One rim frit (see pictures).
