This is a late Victorian, small, ruby cut glass glass scent bottle dating from the end of the 19th century, c1890.

The scent bottle is in good condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the base consistent with use.

The scent bottle is nonagonal in cross-section, the sides having been cut rather than moulded, and was blown in ruby glass.  It is plain save for the cutting and is topped with a yellow metal sleeve and cap.  The bottle is 6 cm (2.4 inches) in height and 3 cm (1.2 inches) in diameter.  The original internal stopper is missing.

There are four tiny flea bite chips out of the edge of the base.   The plain yellow metal cap is somewhat dented and tarnished.  There are no other chips, cracks, significant scratches or any evidence of restoration. It weighs 45 g. (~ 2 oz.).
