These upgraded phosphorous bronze direct replacements are stellar in the Fatty Spanto XM18 3.5 and Harpoon Spanto XM18 3.5. The action is swift and direct. In comparison to Teflon washers, these are more slick, without static friction, and more rigid/stout. 


The process:

This is a labor of love, made available after exceeding expectations in uniformity and finish.

Due to being stamp/punch cut from a sheet of Phosphorous Bronze, the washers inherently carry high or low spots from the punching process. We begin with a center deburr, then 2 stages of hand lapping on resin bonded CBN bench stones, followed by 2 stages of polishing, first on a cowhide leather strop loaded with 3 Micron CBN stropping compound, then on fine cloth with 1 Micron CBN stropping compound. 

The process is no secret, and can be easily replicated. It will require good tools. The completed buttery end result is made available here without guesswork.

The on-hand quantity does reflect actual inventory. Apologies if I cannot keep up with demand as these require quite a bit of time to make and keep available.
