Echinodorus Bleheri (Syn: E. grisebachii Bleherae) LARGE - emersed
2 LARGE plants - size 20-35 cm

Echinodorus Bleheri is one of the most popular aquarium plants. Amazon sword can reach up to 50cm or even more with leaves being 3-6 cm wide. It is best to use as a background plant. At least 10 cm deep substrate is advised so that the root system can spread properly. It needs to be planted about 5 cm to prevent it from floating back up. Echinodorus Bleheri is a heavy root feeder therefore it is advised to be vigilant when planting around other plants so it does not deprive them of nutrition. This easy plant doesn’t require extra CO2, although it will definitely be appreciated, and you will be amazed how quickly the new leaves grow. Very strong lighting is not necessary. If there is nutrient deficiency Amazon Sword quickly will show it. Leaves will start turning yellow, transparent.  The holes on the leaves result from macronutrient deficiency. If you notice any of those signs you need to add root tabs. Adding liquid fertilizers when the plant is root feeder will not help much.

The colour depends on the fertilizers in which they are served. Plants will take their natural look in the aquarium. You will receive plants looking similar like on the photo (without pot, cup).

The size of the plant shows how big it can grow in the aquarium. That gives information to the buyers where to position plant in the aquarium. Plants which you will receives come from greenhouses or laboratory(in vitro) and some of them might be smaller or bigger than the final sizes shown on the listing. Don't be surprised that sometimes plants might not have roots or roots will be minimal. After planting in the aquarium, the plant will grow new roots within a few days.
