This is a Antique Meiji Period Japanese Satsuma Gold Gilt Asian Teapot. It stands about 7" tall and 8" from the dragon's nose to the handle. It shows a bit of wear here and there. I think the dragon on the lid is missing part of his tongue. There are no other chips or cracks on this piece. There is a mark on the bottom but I am unable to determine the maker. I am pretty sure it is Satsuma and over 100 years old. It has a very detailed paint design all over. Happy tea time!
