Part of the M40 uniform introduced in 1938, these trousers offer quality woollen construction and attention to detail. A high-waisted design with a mix of stamped dish and smooth plastic buttons, correct clawed buckle on the rear adjustment strap and cotton pocket and waist lining. Used by German troops until the end of the war, these particular M40s have the small metal ring for mounting a pocket watch chain, as opposed to the stitched wool loop style.
