Hand Carved FORSTER’S TERN SHORE BIRD Base Signed LH SAHLMANN Original Wood ART



For auction is the pictured vintage estate sale item, a Hand Carved FORSTER’S TERN Wooden SHORE BIRD on a Base Signed by the artist LH SAHLMANN. This is an Original Wood ART piece from the artist.


The artist Louis Henry SAHLMANN (1927 - 2018) lived in Fort Myers FL and when not making amazing original wooden art he made wood toys for children’s charity.


Title of the piece is written on the bottom of the base, artist signature is on the bottom of the tail along with the number #154. I believe each bird has a different number that goes along with the title & type of bird.


Dimensions: about 7.25 inches tall by 3.5 inches wide by about 10 inches front to back.

Item is preowned and in used good condition, no chips or cracks or repairs or anything like that, minor signs of wear/age &/or manufacturing errors are possible, please look at the pictures to see condition for yourself and make your own opinion.. ***Items are sold as is. ***

In general I ship once a week (print & add tracking numbers & drop packages same day), most times for the customer that means I ship within 4 Business days of your payment clearing - 99 times out of 100 I ship quickly, though thanks to Hurricane Ian ALL post offices near me have closed (30 minute drive if there’s no traffic) so please allow a little time, this is because of two reasons 1. this is not my full time job &/or 2. because I may need shipping supplies, I am not Amazon I’m just one person & I work very hard to keep shipping low cost but still expertly & safely done. Also I lost ALL my shipping supplies in the hurricane (not to mention the ability to live in my home) so please understand I’m doing my best.


Please note it is my return policy to not accept returns unless item is damaged in shipping. Therefore if you have any questions please feel free to ask before purchasing & before bidding. SERIOUSLY IF THERE IS A CHANCE CONDITION COULD BE AN ISSUE ASK FIRST aka B4 BUYING/BIDDING, while I do go over board explaining condition most of the time, we all judge differently & miss things from time to time. In extremely very very rare other instances I accept returns it is for 50% of cost after you pay to ship the item back to me.

I only ship to verified addresses in the USA. ** I do not ship to reshippers. So if you live outside the USA aka USPS does not ship to you do not buy items from my store ** I will search your address, check your feedback, and Report you if you are a scam artist, so don’t even bother trying with me, if you’re a regular eBay customer... ***EXCEPTION** if you go through eBays service where I ship to a USA address and they ship to you outside the USA that’s fine, BUT if there are any issues you need to take it up with eBay, I do not guarantee that the item will arrive and/or not get damaged, all I am responsible for is shipping it to the USA address. I will of course package the items well, but once it’s out of the country there is literally nothing I can do & will not issue any type of refund, return, ANYTHING no matter what happens, so don’t ask, don’t open a case, you need to talk to eBay if anything happens outside USA, so make sure you’re familiar with their policies.





Also I am a very reasonable human being, in the very rare case there is any kind of issue we can work it out, and I will work with you until you leave a happy customer, but please be willing to compromise their are a lot of costs involved in this I try hard to not pass on to the seller. ***Just message me before doing anything else** such as leaving negative feedback or contacting eBay, opening a case, etc, and I can make it right. Unless you are rude, in which case I will simply let eBay handle it. The only situations I have had on eBay that I couldn’t work out, get people their money back, and have end with a happy customer are situations where the person was rude/insulting/couldn’t have a normal conversation. In those situations there is nothing I can do. So... as long as you speak to me how you would like to be spoken to, and actually answer the questions I ask you, you won’t leave dissatisfied.
