In 2017 to celebrate Disney Pixar Cars first released in 2006, the New Zealand Mint released a very special Limited Issue Tow Mater $2 Two Dollar Silver Proof Coin struck in solid fine .999 Silver weighing one ounce of pure Silver. 
The reverse of the coin features a colour image of Tow Mater, against an engraved background of the Radiator Springs countryside while the obverse depicts Ian Rank Broadley's portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
