How to use
Please use a 12V on-board power supply to power Horn, because the ordinary power supply does not have enough current so it cannot drive Horn, which may cause Horn not working, please use a thick wire to connect the power supply, because if the cable is too thin to pass a large current so it cannot drive Horn!
Working Principle and Troubleshooting
When the horn button on the steering wheel or other position is pressed, the current from the battery will flow through the loop to the solenoid coil of the horn relay, and the electromagnetic coil attracts the moving contact of the relay to open and close, and the current will flow to the horn. The current makes the electromagnets inside the speaker work, causing the diaphragm to vibrate and emit sound.
When a failure occurs, you can refer to the steps below to check.
1. Sometimes do not ring the horn switch, if the horn sometimes rings, sometimes does not sound, mostly the contact inside the horn switch is not in good contact, and some are also problems with the horn itself.
2. The hoarseness of the sound is mostly due to poor contact of the plug, especially the various contacts around the steering wheel, which are easy to wear out due to frequent use.
3. First check the fuse to see if it is blown, then unplug the horn plug and use a multimeter to measure whether there is electricity here when the horn switch is pressed. If there is no electricity, the horn harness and horn relay should be checked; If there is electricity, it is a problem with the horn itself, at this time you can also try to adjust the adjustment nut on the horn to see if it can sound, if it still does not sound, you need to replace the horn.
