18th century George III English Sterling Silver Sweetmeats Server dated 1789 Thomas Northcote.

of oval shape measuring 6” x 4” x 2 15/16”, pierced design with twisted rope rim and on four ball and claw feet, the body is faintly marked with the crowned leopard's head for the city of London, the lion passant for sterling silver purity, a duty mark of the king's head, a date letter O for the year 1789 and makers mark TN (presumably Thomas Northcote), some very slight bends along edge where a liner would sit, really inconsequential, otherwise in excellent condition.
