Victorian, circa 1860. 3.5 inches high, 4.8 inches wide, 3 inch depth. Staffordshire inkwell which features a spaniel, recumbent on a cobalt blue base.

Spaniel is Russet and white. Dull gilt embellishment.  Item is in excellent condition with no issues to note.  There is some blue paint bleed from base to spaniels' paws which would've been done at creation.  No cracks, chips, or crazing present.
