*There is one defect on this teacup. There is an almost unnoticeable hairline crack that is about 1/4 of an inch in length that must have resulted from a hard tap on the rim. The rest of the cup is in exceptionally perfect condition.*

The Shelley Dainty #13797 Teacup was produced between 1945 and 1966. The pattern was first issued in 1932.
The Shelley Pottery story begins around 1860 when the Wileman family built a second pottery to produce fine China. The pottery was originally named Wileman & Co, then The Foley Potteries, before the popular name "Shelley" was confirmed in the 1900s. Percy Shelley adopted the Shelley name as a trademark.
