Vintage Reproduction Renaissance Revival Style Throne Dining Chairs, Set of 8

This set was manufactured in the mid to late 20th century. Made from white oak, these vintage chairs were first rough-cut with machines and then craftsmen hand-carved all the lovely, intricate details on the crest rail, back, splats, and chair rails. Done by a high-end reproduction company, these chairs follow the classic lines of the late 19th century Renaissance Revival with their throne like high backs, tufted, textured cotton seats, curved arms, and floral/folate designs carved into the back splat panels.

The front legs of all eight chairs bear casters, with saber shaped back legs. The side chairs are of a simpler design, with less ornate floral designs and the chair supports are simple curves, unlike the abundance of ivy leaves incised relief flowers visible on the armchairs. There are six side chairs and two arm chairs in this set.

The side chairs measure 65" high, 27 1/2" wide, 21 1/2" deep, with a seat height of 21". The arm chairs measure 65" high, 28" wide, 22" deep, with a seat height of 22". The side chair weighs approximately 18 lbs while the arm chair weighs 22 lbs.

This set is in very good condition but there are signs of wear from age and use visible on some of the design backs and on the arm rests. Please consult images and message with any questions.
