JOVELLANA PUNCTATA

An unusual and beautiful rarity from Chile. Upright, well branched, evergreen shrubby perennial. Dozens of curiously spotted white, pale pink or pale lilac flowers, no two seem the same, form large sprays from spring to autumn. The bright mint green, decorative leaves 5- 10 cm long have a spicy aroma when crushed. Ideal for shady border, patio, conservatory or greenhouse. An excellent house pot specimen.

-Height: 60 cm and more with age;

-Flowers: June- September;

-Sow: any time indoors; do not cover the seeds- needs light to germinate; germination 14- 30 days at 15- 20 C; tiny seeds;

-Aftercare: part shade and moist, humusy soil; hardy only to -8 C; needs winter protection or grow it as a pot-plant indoors;
