The firm of Terheyden Buerkele was dissolved in1864 and Charles Terheyden continued the business on his own account.  He retired in 1886.  Henry Terheyden, head of the present organization, assumed charge of the business in1886 and in 1912 the firm was incorporated under the name of Terheyden……..  i can not find when the store closed down but it is no longer in business.
