I. Purpose
      It can be used as a reference electrode of the measuring unit in the supporting use of acidity meter, ion meter, potentiometric titrator, electrochemical workstation, etc. This electrode has good potential reproducibility, and is especially suitable for potential measurement in alkaline solutions.

Third, the use of maintenance and precautions
1. Before using the electrode, please remove the rubber sleeve from the wetted part before use.
2. The salt bridge liquid in the electrode should not contain large air bubbles, so as to avoid blocking the electronic measurement circuit; if so, you can lift the electrode and flick it with your fingers to make the air bubbles float.
3. The liquid level of the salt bridge solution in the electrode should be higher than the liquid level of the sample solution during measurement, so as not to reverse the sample solution and change the concentration or composition of the salt bridge solution.
4. The electrode should not be used for the measurement of the medium that reacts with the salt bridge solution, especially the medium that forms the precipitation reaction will block the pores in the liquid junction and make the electrode useless.
5. The inside of the electrode body should be cleaned and replaced frequently with salt bridge fluid. General adhesion and contamination should be removed in time to keep the liquid junction working properly.
6. The mercury oxide contained in the substance is toxic and the salt bridge solution is corrosive. Please strictly follow the relevant laboratory safety regulations for operation.
7. When the electrode is not used for a short time, please immerse the electrode junction in 1.0 mol / L KOH medium. If it is not used for a long time, please keep it sealed and protected from light.
8. The reference electrode cannot be cleaned under ultrasound.
Note: This mercury oxide electrode is a universal model of single salt bridge and double salt bridge. If there is no chloride ion plasma interference in the measured liquid, you can use the single salt bridge directly (the outer salt bridge can be ignored) Role: anti-interference, protection of the inner salt bridge, and prolonged service life.
The part of the electrode that contacts the liquid is porous and permeable ceramics. It is normal for the connector to leak liquid, but the electrode will also reverse osmosis if it is inserted in the liquid for a long time, that is, the test liquid reverse osmosis into the electrode, resulting in unstable electrode data. , The error becomes larger, and even the electrode is damaged. When in use, it is recommended to test for a short time and use it continuously for less than 1 hour. Once the electrode data is found to be unstable and the deviation increases, stop using the electrode in time and replace all the internal solution of the electrode to avoid electrode poisoning and failure
