This is stamped Silver soldered, and is gold plated over whatever metal it is. It does have a couple places of damage on the inside lids, but you really can't see these, when it is closed. It measures 8", top to bottom, WITHOUT THE HANDLE INCLUDED, and has an original matching handle. The mesh is all there, and this is defintiely a flapper style purse.
