A CARTIER 1895 0.87 Ct. Solitaire Diamond Engagement Ring in Platinum accompanied by a printout of its original GIA Report. The main center diamond is laser inscribed with a GIA inventory number and is certified to be of 0.61 carat weight, round brilliant cut, white H color and VVS1 clarity. The original hardcopy of the report was missing and therefore we will only provide a transcript of the report which is readily available online. The diamond centerpiece is garnished with two rows of 8 round brilliant cut diamonds each on both sides of the shank. All 16 diamonds are in the F color and VVS1 clarity ranges. Gross weight of the ring is 4.0 grams of platinum. Ring size is 50 (US 5.5 / UK K), but could possibly be resized. The ring is signed Cartier, hallmarked Pt950 for platinum, we well as bearing a 0.61 center diamond size inscription, Cartier inventory number and maker's mark. The ring comes along with a very nice red velvet pouch. Retail of this ring was US$15,000. Absolutely scarce engagement piece and one of the evergreen Cartier solitaire diamonds rings.
