This is a Single stamp from the 'Centenary of Legacy (100 years)' release which was made available from June 2021 via Australia Post.
Standing proudly for 100 years, Legacy is an iconic Australian charity dedicated to supporting the families of veterans who have given their life or health in operational service. Providing caring and compassionate support, all done through the dedication and passion of Legacy volunteers, known as Legatees, Legacy has transformed the lives of many.
The stamp features an interpretation of the Legacy logo torch with the title text ‘Legacy 100’.
This is a wonderful tribute and a highly collectable item.

BACKGROUND:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In the trenches of the Western Front during World War I, a soldier said to his dying mate “I’ll look after the missus and kids”. This became known as The Promise.
Realising the dire circumstances of the tens of thousands of veterans, widows and children left behind, those who returned set out to help them. In 1923, Major General Sir John Gellibrand formed the Remembrance Club in Hobart. Another returning soldier, Lieutenant General Sir Stanley Savige, was inspired to establish a similar club in Melbourne which was named Legacy.
In responding to the needs of families of veterans for 100 years, Legacy, in conjunction with the network of Legacy Clubs throughout regional and metropolitan Australia, stands proudly as the only veteran service organisation in Australia dedicated solely to the care and support of our veterans’ families.

Sent via 'Standard post' in an envelope / satchel / box (usually via Australia Post).

International items will usually be sent 'Standard' or 'Economy Air' (as Registered or Tracked mail). Import duties, taxes, and charges aren't included in the item price or postage cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.

CANCELLATIONS / FEES:
Order cancellations are permitted before the item is sent, but there is a 10% restocking fee for 'preparation/handling' plus any 'postage' amounts that cannot be recovered (for example: 'Tracked postage envelopes' cannot be reused, therefore the cost needs to be recovered from the buyer).
