Dear Prospective Baseball Card Collector:
I, as a long-time baseball card collector and baseball enthusiast
(now 77 years old) – a real amasser of baseball cards - of 50+ years – have put
together a very special and distinctive collection of TOPPS, etc. baseball
cards – almost
115,000 cards (i.e., as "one" complete collection). A
little under 10% of the collection are individual cards – from all years. The rest are sets – lots of sets. That said, this is a unique, one-of-a-kind,
and possibly matchless (and rare) baseball card assortment with many interesting
and valuable cards – truly a collector’s dream and delight if you are a serious
collector (i.e., who wants to further build on this peerless collected works) –
rightly for baseball card gathers; not necessarily for re-sellers.
Collection: Some odds and ends: 1950 - 1969. Complete
sets from 1971 - 2021 – in fact, 571 of them. Many unusual and
very hard-to-find small sets (e.g., older and some newer TOPPS team sets –
booklets, posters, jumbos, scratch-offs, comics, team sets, Bazooka, Drake Big Hitters,
Mickey Mantle, and Willie Mays reprint sets, etc.). Also, many
late-model different types of factory unopened sets. The collected
works also include some Bowman, O-Pee-Chee, and Stadium Club sets (also made by
TOPPS: 1986 - 2015). In addition, there are a few Burger King, CMC,
Donruss, Fleer, Leaf, etc. cards (from 1982 – 2010). Many legendary baseball
players in this assortment – Hank Aaron, Yogi Berra, Barry Bonds, George Brett,
Roberto Clemente, Dennis Eckersley, Ken Griffey, Jr., Ricky Henderson, Bo Jackson,
Reggie Jackson, Sandy Koufax, Mickey Mantle, Don Mattingly, Eddie Murray, Thurman
Munson, Shohei Ohtani, Cal Ripken Jr., Pete Rose, Nolan Ryan, Ozzie Smith, Ichiro
Suzuki, Robin Yount, etc., to name only a few.
That said, there are many treasured baseball cards in this collection
(i.e., almost 5,000 of them).
All cards are stored in heavy-duty black/yellow totes (i.e.,
purchased from Home Depot) and in heavy-duty baseball car albums. While this collection has not been
fully graded by PSA, etc. (i.e., 270 key/prized cards, have been graded [a very nice
cross representation of the various valuable and expensive cards - TOPPS, etc. from
1951 – 2021, where I have spent thousands of dollars getting these precious
and exquisite cards graded]). I have carefully evaluated, to the best of my ability (i.e.,
using the PSA graded cards as a guideline), the condition of all cards. Please
know I live in Reno, Nevada – “local pick-up only – no exceptions.” Asking
$77,405 (a 50% savings) - no returns. If
interested in buying my baseball card collection (i.e., as “one” lot
only), please send me a “message” for item card details at jjschaap at charter.net (as one word @). I, in turn, will
send you a detailed and extensive spreadsheet of the collector’s entire baseball
card collection.
Thank you for your consideration, and I hope you will enjoy this
wonderful baseball card collected works.
Sincerely,
James S.
