This listing is for a museum quality 18th century Turkish linen recently purchased from an estate sale. It is made of gossamer thin linen and embroidered on both ends with urns of peach flowers above a floral garland. The embroidery floss colors are made of natural dyes and it is accented with silver (now tarnished black) metallic thread.
The embroidery work is very fine; the back of the work is nearly indistinguishable from the front. It's some of the best needlework that I've seen. See close up photos.
It measures 34" X 18".
Condition: There are some small holes in the linen and there is some browning.
