Brecciated Jasper is a widely distributed gemstone, commonly cut for jewelry and other ornamental purposes. It is prized for its vivid, rich colors and mosaic-like appearance - it consists of a number of tiny, angular fragments. These white and black fragments are usually Quartz or Hematite.
