For sale a rare half scale miniature dress form Made in Paris, France around 1930. These half scale dress forms were for testing a design, made in miniature to see if it was working, used by couture dress makers & theater costume designers. This dress form was made by one of the oldest & best manufacturers, Siegel & Stockman of Paris, France established in 1867. The body is made from canvas stretched over a framed & mounted on an Art Deco style wood base. The maker's name is stenciled on the wood stand. It is 27" tall, the canvas has no pinholes, looks like it was never used. The very top wood knob has a chip & the wood base has a crack at the top were it meets the body, it was glued. The base also has a hole most likely to secure the form to a table. Overall good condition & beautifully made.
