The São Paulo Grand Prix took place on the 13th. November 2022 at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace and covered a distance of 71 laps of 4.303 km each, which corresponds to a total distance of 305.909 km.
After Russel had already won the sprint race, he started the main race from pole position in his Mercedes AMG Petronas W13 racing car. In the penultimate race of the season, Russel defended his position to the finish and took his first Formula 1 Grand Prix victory.
