Here is a stylish SET OF FOUR STOLLE  NEIMEN BLUE PRESSED GLASS ART DECO GEOMETRIC DESSERT OR BON BON DISHES.


The Niemen glass works was based in Brzozowce (second Polish Republic /after 1939 was in Byelorussian SSR (now Belarus).


In the 1930s it produced over a third of decorative and utility glass available in Poland.  It was the producer of the famous Galle lamps.


The dishes have a cobalt blue hue to them.  They have typical art deco design.  The handles are stepped and within the surface is a stepped textured glass.  This pattern continues through the middle of the dish, culminating in two squares with one edge of each square touching (see image).  Around the textured pattern is curved detail.  From the textured pattern to the rim of the dish it is plain blue glass.  The base of the dishes have a slight, square step. Please look at the images, which best describe the pieces.


I have used a black light and they do appear to glow so are possibly uranium dishes, but don't photograph as such.


The height measurement of the dishes is 4 cm. Each dish measures 15 cm from one handle edge to the other.   The diameter of the dishes (excluding the handles) is approximately 11.2 cm.


The dishes are in excellent condition with no chips,  cracks or restoration. If you love the art deco style, these would be perfect for your decor.  In addition to their use as a dessert dish or bon bon dish, you could use them as dip bowls, floating candle dishes / candle holders or trinket dishes.
