2023 IIHF Women U18 World Hockey Championship in Oestersund, Sweden. This postage stamp is a follow up to our 2022 stamp issued for the 2022 world cup. Canada won the 2023 final against Sweden 10:0.
Our previous stamps honouring the world cups were printed by Canada Post under their PICTURE POSTAGE program. Effective Sept. 1, 2022 Canada Post cancelled the program - and there won't be any more NEW stamps or RE-PRINTS produced. Following our annual tradition the Austrian Post Office (Oesterreichische Post) using their "Meine Marke" program started using our designs and printed the World Cup commemoratives.
