This beautiful Letter Opener is marked "England". Its hallmarks indicate it was made in Sheffield in 1968 or 1969 by A Haviland-Nye. The dating makes this one of their early pieces. It comes with its original fitted case. It is a beautiful piece of vintage silverwork from this well-respected London silversmith.

Based upon the tarnish pattern (most of which I cleaned off), I do not believe the blade is silver. It had no tarnish.

This is a used piece and does have some light scratching and tarnish consistent with use and age. Both the letter opener and its case are in good condition. See photos for condition details.
