Civil War tintype of four Union soldiers, two seated crosslegged, two standing. The men are not in uniform, indicating this is likely a postwar image. One of the seated men holds up a flag emblem with 13 stripes but only seven stars in the field, suggesting the men may be citizens of Maryland, the seventh state to join the Union. The ribbons on their lapels indicate that they are likely at a G.A.R. reunion. Image measures 2.75'' x 3.75''. Surface damage obscures the face of one standing soldier. Overall, good condition.
