This is a modern Chinese copy of a rare Lehmann tinplate toy. Perfect working condition with good colours and graphics as shown. It measures 20cm in length and stands 13cm tall. A fun toy - see video

These toys were originally made in Germany by Lehmann from 1924-1935 and poke fun at man’s attempt to train zebras to pull carts. Here the driver is tipped forward then thrown back as he tightens the reins to hold the zebra back. Known as EPL 752.

"Zikra" a pressed metal gig, with a driver, pulled by a zebra. The gig has two large wheels and a small brass one in front and is painted white, black, red, green and yellow. It is worked by a spring which can be tightened when the key is turned. As the whole moves along the driver moves up and down on the seat and the zebra bucks.

Please take the time to study the photographs carefully as they do form part of the description but feel free to request further information or photographs. All of my models are carefully packaged and sent via the Royal Mail signed for delivery service in sturdy cardboard boxes and not a Jiffy bag.
