1950s Copper & Brass miniature Divers helmet very sought-after and not many of these on the market as singular items, most available on the market are replica items mass produced in countries like India amd China! Not for me!

I have taken the semi stressed look keeping as much patina on the copper body but taking some of the blemishes off to expose some beautiful old shiny copper. Glass cut to fit behind the brass viewing holes and removing most but not all of the tarnish to the metal (enabling a little shine)

This is a absolutely beautiful lamp (shade I'm not happy with!) But I'll make a new wire shade to match the mesuments of the lamp base (250mm square) or maybe bigger 🤔 😅 (unfortunately the shade is for illustration purposes only)

Although this will light up on the top I'm just in the process of working out how I can get illumination within the helmet so that all the viewing glass will light up with a warm coloured light.

I'm sure the founders of Subsurface Journal would absolutely love this lamp in this very minimal style.
