Includes the computer, non functional battery, power adapter with cable and small travel bag. Transmeta Crusoe Processor running Microsoft Windows Millinium Edition. Features Microsoft Office preinstalled and operable. Also preinstalled is AIM, AOL 7.0, Yahoo! Messenger, MSN Messenger, ICQ and more digital anachronisms. This is a USA version of the computer and it ships from the United States.
This Auction is being sold AS-IS FOR PARTS ONLY - This is a 22 year old mini laptop, and as such is being sold "AS-IS FOR PARTS ONLY" because of its age, present condition, and any issues that may be unknown. This computer would benefit from the attention of a computer collector and technician who can go over it thoroughly and provide any service thought to be necessary. Item is exactly as shown in pictures and powers up.
SONY VAIO PICTUREBOOK KNOWN ISSUES:
► Battery no longer takes a charge.
► Vinegar screen with spotting.
► Chipped, proprietary power cable connector, works when held in.
► CTRL Button is loose but functional.
► Keyboard has a short / multiple keystroke input when first powered on.
► Rubber feet are dematerializing, which is a common issue with this model.
► Other potential issues which may be unrealized.
Item comes from a non-smoking home but has a "vinegar" odor consistent with the dematerialization of the screen. Ships with extra amount of packaging and Bubble Wrapping inside to protect the computer during transit, and ships in a sturdy USPS Priority box.
