"REDBONE JACK KNIFE" ONE OF THE VERY FIRST "Vintage 1917-1921 Boker USA Model #102 Redbone Jack Knife from the Newark N.J. Valley Forge Cutlery shop obtained by Boker USA in 1916, this was one of the very first Patterns and Tang stamps of the newly formed Boker USA brand, I should add that very few were made between the time the new company was formed and took over the Valley Forge daily operations and the untimely departure of C.W. Tillmanns and crew. The Early Redbone Jack Knife has the Rare C.W. Tillmans Designed COVERED BACK SPRINGS and FULL LENGTH DEEP RED JIGGED BONE HANDLES WITH RARE NICKEL SILVER BOLSTER CAPS THAT SIT ATOP THE BEAUTIFUL REDBONE HANDLES, this is a very significant and early piece of Boker USA History. The Knife Measures 3-1/8" closed. The Blades are a very early High Carbon tool steel and the main blade has the spear point, nice half stop good snap opening & closing. The pen blade has no half stop, no snap, weak spring.
