The C. O. Bartlett & Snow Company was founded in 1885 by C. O. Bartlett (incorporated March 12, 1902) in Cleveland, Ohio. Its industry was elevating, conveyor and related machinery and its headquarters remained in Cleveland, Ohio.


In 1961 the firm was sold to the Pacific Foundry & Metallurgy Company and the operation was moved to San Francisco, California under the name Bartlett-Snow Pacific, Inc. The original corporate entity in Cleveland changed its name to the Cobasco Corporation, which dissolved in 1968. Bartlett-Snow Pacific was acquired by the Bangor & Aroostock Corporation in 1962. In 1969, the firm was acquired by the newly-formed Envirotech Corporation and was operated as the EIMCO BSP Division (or BSP Corp.) under the EIMCO BSP Services Company. Its Cleveland plant shut down in 1972.
