Nail clippers with a tradition made in Japan

Uses nail clippers from Kai Corporation, a long-established blade maker founded in 1908.
It is a beautiful craft with Maki-e on the nail clippers.

Maki-e is one of the typical decoration techniques of lacquering crafts. Draw pictures and patterns with lacquer, and before the lacquer hardens, lacquer powder (metal powder such as gold and silver) is sown and attached to the surface for decoration. It is called "Maki-e" because it is made into a picture by sowing powder.

The nail clippers are in a paulownia box, making them ideal for gifts.
