Beautiful female nude with big hair and large breasts hand carved on a large, heavy wooden panel in deep relief. Signed and dated by artist on the back: "T. Plummer 1975 JA. W.I.". Plummer was a wood carving artist in Jamaica, West Indies, active in the 1960s and 1970s. He was better known for making small tribal busts and animal figurines, such a large piece by him is very rare. Measures approximately 18.5" x 13.5". I have photographed it both indoors and out, with and without flash to show how it looks in different light. Wonderful decorative wall hanging, a unique primitive folk art piece that will enhance any interior.
