Gorgeous vtg bomber. Horsehide from the 40s. Original everything. Conmar Zips work very well and there are no issues with any of the zippers. Rare Bormcolt label. Pony hide tag in the jacket. Great Mouton collar. Sweet shearling lining. This jacket looks great on and has a gorgeous color. I get a lot of compliments with this one. I’d consider this a sz 40 but please see measurements below and ask questions.

This one is very hard for me to sell.

This jacket need not be a closet queen. Plenty of life still in it. The leather is great. I treated once, properly and lightly , with Oakwood leather conditioner (no petroleum or anything to harm cotton stitching/seams) and it’s really nice now, but I’d personally give it another light treatment.

The horsehide on this is excellent. It appears that this jacket was used by a pilot or was in the very least issued to someone in the military bc you can see faintly above the chest pocket that a name was likely once on the coat.

This jacket is not new and is 80yrs old. It has been worn and is NOT perfect. Please understand this is a vintage jacket. If you are looking for perfection, this is not your jacket. If you want an amazing, rare, 40s horsehide jacket that you can wear though, and is in good condition, this is a jacket to consider. Please look at the pics. I’ve uploaded the full amount of 24 to give you a very accurate representation of this jacket. I’ve priced this jacket accordingly.

Here are the issues I see with the jacket:

* One of the pocket liner seams has come undone. This would require a simple, single row of stitching to re attach it. (See pic)

* the knit cuffs are worn as well as the knit waist. This does not affect the wearability of the jacket and they are not in danger of falling off but they do not look new. This can be rebuilt easily, and affordably, by people who restore leather jackets. (See pics)

* under the arm there is a few stitches that could use some attention. This is barely noticeable and I could likely not even mention it, but in good faith I’d like to point it out. Please understand the arm is not anywhere near coming off the body and the seams are strong in structure. (See pic)

* Some light stains in lining (see pics)

* little hole on the inside bottom leather lining border. (See pics)

Please ask any questions and I’ll get right back to you. I love leather jackets so much and I’m always happy to talk about them. I’m fairly knowledgeable about the subject but I’m not the supreme expert. Either way I’m happy to share what I know and help any way I can.
