RARE ORIGINAL VINTAGE UNUSED BOX A TICKET

FEBRUARY 6, 1966

At THE SYRIA MOSQUE

PITTSBURGH,  PENNSYLVANIA U.S.A.

COMES IN A PROTECTIVE SNAP CASE

This was the third stop on a momentous tour, the first in which a 24 year old Dylan employed an electric backing group,

The Hawks ( you may know them as The Band )

Dylan had "gone electric" in 1965 at Newport to the dismay of his folkie fans but to the delight of the rockers.

This concert had both acoustic and electric sets, and came at a time when he finished up the sessions for his Blonde on Blonde album.

This particular concert was released in 2016 as Disc 33 of The 1966 Live Recordings Box Set

Dylan's 1966 Tour ended with his motorcycle accident on July 29, 1966.

Subsequent to Dylan's withdrawal to Woodstock, he refrained from undertaking a major tour until 1974

Dylan's set at this concert included: She Belongs To Me, To Ramona, Visions Of Johanna, Desolation Row, Love Minus Zero/No Limit, Mr. Tambourine Man, Positively 4th Street, Like A Rolling Stone.

February 1966 saw Dylan working on what would become "Blonde on Blonde" (Rolling Stones 9th Greatest Album of All Time).

Journalist Nora Ephron also announced for the first time the 1965 wedding of Bob Dylan to Sara Lownds in February 1966.
