- often the set comes in sets of 6, so 6 table forks for example. However, I find 6 an awkward number, particularly when using a service for every day use. In response to this I have made available the set to have x8 of each item, so x8 table forks & x8 teaspoons. It just makes the set that much more flexible but I have gone to the trouble, thus saving you the hassle, of sourcing the figure of 8 from several different suppliers. It is also a number which you cannot purchase from Alessi as you’d have to buy x12 of each item in 2 sets of 6. I hope therefore to have created a practical and flexible cutlery service that you will use for years to come.

Courier would be ParcelForce express service, insured, trackable and dispatched the next working day. It may even be more economical to use a white glove delivery service. I have used several lately and for larger weights and values of porcelain dinner services that was £55 within London and £75 outside of London. So I think it’d be worth seeing if that could come down and the other benefit is delivery would made according to your schedule and your day of choice.

I booked a white glove delivery on the Thursday evening, this was for over £2,000 worth of porcelain, glassware and a large and crack-prone mirror design, they collected from London on Friday and delivered to the customer in Nottingham Saturday & all completely intact.
