Vintage 1980s or 90s KODAK - MGM Roaring Lion Shirt - 35mm Movie Film - RARE!!!
"A 100% legit 90s tee, NOT some chintzy eBay knock-off"
This Kodak - MGM studio shirt is the only example of one I've ever seen in person or on the web. I received the shirt years ago from an industry insider, and I believe it was originally created as a promotional tie-in at a motion picture trade show.
It features a Kodak logo and a multi-colored MGM lion graphic on a heavy black cotton. No tears, holes or rips. There is a subtle but noticeable color shift on its back, not fading so much as the black taking on a slight reddish hue (see pic #4). This is no doubt from exposure to the Florida sun on a number of shoots, as this shirt ended up being worn much more than any of the other shirts I currently have listed. That roaring lion was just too boss to pass up!
The tee's a size medium, but seems to run a fraction smaller, making for a nice clean fit. The Kodak and MGM graphics do exhibit some cracking (see pic #6), which is quite common for any tee going on 30-plus years-old.
Every shirt in my collection that I'll be offering has been pampered over the years and always washed with its graphics turned inside-out. The majority have only seen minimal wear, mostly relegated to on-location shoots (involving actual movie cameras as opposed to modern digital posers) and while attending revival screenings of classic genre flicks like The Wrath of Khan, Ghostbusters, Alien and the like.

NOTE: All proceeds from auction sales are being devoted entirely to the creation of my first feature length film. Set in the 1960's, the flick is a sentimental ode to classic Japanese sci-fi cinema. Despite its minuscule budget, the project is jam-packed with giant mutated meanies, flying saucers, classic hot rods and daringly-dressed vixens. All realized with traditional 35mm cameras and practical, old school FX.
