COMPONENT-LEVEL REPAIR SERVICE

We offer component-level motherboard repair. There is no need to replace the whole logic board with a new one and pay a premium price for it. We try to find the cause of the malfunction and replace only the failed components on your original board. Every logic board is built by thousands of very small electronic components. You don’t have to dispose of the entire board just because a few of those components failed.

TURN AROUND TIME

Usually, repair takes between 3-7 days for logic board and liquid damage repairs. Some repairs are completed the day the device arrives. Some devices throw us through a loop and can take longer depending on the severity of the problem. 

In some cases, if you choose to replace faulty parts, they must be ordered from overseas suppliers so repairs may take up to three weeks or more. If the repair is UNSUCCESSFUL, you WILL NOT BE CHARGED FOR THE REPLACEMENT PARTS.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU PURCHASE THIS SERVICE

  • Purchase includes RETURN SHIPPING of your device ONLY. The typical repair cost for particular MacBook models is stated in a LISTING TITLE.
  • After your purchase, we will send you a link to the form via eBay Messenger. Fill out the form (MAKE SURE YOUR EBAY ADDRESS MATCHES THE ADDRESS ON THE FORM), submit it and wait for the system to send you the REPAIR ORDER NUMBER, DISPATCH CARD AND INVOICES. Please check your SPAM folder if have not received an email within 2 minutes.
  • Print out "DISPATCH CARD" and PLACE IT IN THE BOX. So that we can match up the machine when we receive it with your EBAY request form. You can also use the REPAIR ORDER NUMBER to track the repair status.
  • REMOVE YOUR HARD DRIVE OR BACK UP YOUR DATA BEFORE SENDING YOUR DEVICE FOR REPAIR. Although we take good care of your device, we would not like to be accused of losing data during the repair process.
  • If possible, PACK YOUR LAPTOP IN ITS ORIGINAL PACKAGING. If this is not possible, contact a UPS or FedEx store, they will provide you with a very good shipping box at a low cost.
  • Pack the device SECURELY in a sturdy box with bubble wrap (MAKE SURE THAT IT ISN'T WOBBLING INSIDE), INSURE IT and mail it to the address on the "DISPATCH CARD". Do not ship the power cord unless you have any charging issues.
  • Once the work is completed, we will issue a PayPal invoice for the service.
  • Your device will be shipped to you the next business day after the payment.

1. We use CANADA POST as our main courier , if you would like to use another courier please contact us with details. Items will be shipped within 24 Business Hours after confirmed payment. We do not ship on weekends or holidays.

3. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY WRONG OR UNDELIVERABLE ADDRESSES. Shipment errors due to a wrong address entered by the buyer will not be credited for shipping charges or at all if the shipment is lost. Tracking information will be uploaded directly to eBay for shipments that include tracking.

WARRANTY INFORMATION

1. THE LIMITED SERVICE WARRANTY IS 90 DAYS FOR MOTHERBOARD REPAIRS & REPLACEMENTS.

2. WARRANTY MAY BE VOIDED BY FURTHER PHYSICAL DAMAGE TO THE DEVICE, NEGLIGENCE, OR LIQUID DAMAGE. 

3. THE WARRANTY IS ONLY FOR THE SPECIFIC PART WE HAVE REPLACED AND NOT FOR ANY OTHER ISSUES OR PARTS ON THE DEVICE. You accept that any future issues with other functions on the device are related to prior shock, not our workmanship.

4. THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER IF YOU BREAK IT AGAIN. The warranty does NOT cover a device that is broken again. By ordering this service, you accept the following. The device cannot break on its own. It only breaks if the previously repaired device is submerged again or subjected to physical impact.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. PAY FOR YOUR DEVICE ONCE IT'S DONE – AFTER 60 DAYS IT WILL BE RECYCLED. Canada, Ontario Repair and Storage Liens Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. R.25.

2. WE OFFER FREE ESTIMATE / DIAGNOSTICS, the only fees you will incur will be the return shipping.

3. WE DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR COSMETIC FLAWS. You acknowledge that CompFix is not liable for any defects or problems with a device unless we specifically take responsibility for such a problem or defect. We have stringent procedures on how we handle customer devices. Hence, they leave in the same or better cosmetic condition than they came in, but in no way can we be held liable for any perceived cosmetic issues, such as - This scratch wasn't here when it was dropped off.”Please create a

5. WE ARE IN NO WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR DATA OR HARD DRIVE. By signing this document, you agree to two points.
The first point is that hard drives are volatile, mechanical storage media that can fail at any time.
The second point is that CompFix Repair Co. cannot be blamed, nor be held responsible for any hard drive, solid-state drive, or solid-state hybrid drive malfunction on any machine in our possession.

6. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO INSPECT THE DEVICE BEFORE ACCEPTING IT TO ENSURE THAT IT HAS NOT BEEN RETURNED TO YOU BROKEN.

7. REPAIR OPT-OUT POLICY. If a repair exceeds the initially approved price - the customer may opt out of the repair, and elect to receive the device back without paying for the repair. However, if repairs, that were approved, have been completed and work/parts/time has gone into these repairs, CompFix retains the right to keep any part modified or worked on during such a repair.

For example: if a repair ticket has an approved estimate for a logic board repair and then winds up requiring a battery, keyboard, and a screen, and only board repair was approved - the customer may opt out of repair & pay nothing, but CompFix may retain the logic board that was repaired.
