We’ve been selling karaoke since 1988. That’s a long time! When I wanted to put my business phone number in the Yellow Pages the “karaoke” category did not even exist. I had to list the business under “Musical Accompaniment”. I’ve seen a lot of changes in these three decades. The formats that we have used to listen to our music has gone from cassette tapes and Laser Discs to Compact Discs w/Graphics, MP3+G and digital downloads. The good news for those that still have a karaoke cd+g player is that we still have thousands of discs still available, many of them are rare and hard-to-find, such as this one.
This is a unique disc with several popular songs from the 'Master Of Pop', Sir Elton John, who since the 1970's has consistently placed his songs into the Top 100 of the Pop Genre. Sixty Eight Times his songs have graced this chart and nine songs have made it to number one.This disc may take you back to the 70's when you bought 45's to listen to your music. This disc contains six songs from that decade along with songs from the 80's and beyond, the seventeen listed below.

'The Bitch Is Back' charted at #4 here in the USA despite many stations refusing to play it because of the word 'Bitch'
'Circle Of Life' is taken from Elton's work on the soundtrack of the Lion King.
'Crocodile Rock' is a song from late 1972 and became Elton's first number one US Hit in February 1973.
'Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me' was released in the summer of 1974 and reached the number 2 position on the Hot 100.
'Empty Garden' is another great song written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin from 1982. It is actually a tribute song to the late John Lennon who was murdered in December 1980.
'I Want Love' is a song from 2001 and has a great video featuring actor Robert Downey Jr. lip-syncing the song.
'I'm Still Standing' is from 1983 and made it to number 12 on the Pop Charts.
'Island Girl' is from Elton's Rock Of The Westies 1975 album. It charted in at #1 but still seems to be a difficult track to find on karaoke.
'Levon' takes us back to Elton's early days in 1971 and the song made it up to #24 on the Pop Charts.
'Lies' is an excellent track from Elton from 1995. It was never released as a single and is a very difficult song to find on karaoke. Along with that song, the songs 'Emily' was never released as a single and is almost impossible to find on karaoke.
'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds' is one of the very few songs that Elton has recorded that he has not had a part in writing. The song is actually a 'Beatle' song written by John Lennon and John Lennon actually provided backing vocals to the track that went to number one in 1975.
'Nikita' is a song about a love affair hampered by the Cold War. It was released in 1985 and made it up to number seven on the Hot 100.
'On Dark Street' (1992) as well as 'Pain' (1995) are songs by Elton that were never released as singles. Both are very difficult to find as karaoke singles.
Finally 'A Word In Spanish' is from the 1988 album 'Reg Strikes Back'. It had some chart success but is difficult to find on karaoke.
