CLOSING OUT A 52 year collection....For sale is an FR 1226 WIDE MARGIN Fractional Currency Specimen.   This note has the typical "pin holes" which are actually two holes left behind from being stapled together with others.  This was done at the time of printing.  If you understand much about this hobby, you will know that single notes were glued to what is know as a "SHIELD" which were sent out to banks for the purpose of comparison to possible counterfeit notes.
This note was never attached to a shield and in fact is stamped on the reverse "SPECIMEN" as seen in the photos above.   This note is a beautiful example of a specimen as the corners are truly square and there is no other damage on it.  This note also could be called a 1227 as both the 1226 and the 1227 had the same reverse.  Yours for only $ 260.00 plus $5.00 to ship.  OFFERS ??
