Pioneer SX-3800 Receiver
Turns on, Tunes to radio, lights up as shown in pictures. 

I remember when this was connected to a full stereo that it was very static-ey and distorted unless the "Loudness" switch was held in an exact position approx halfway between up and down, a piece of paper folded was used to wedge next to the switch to keep it in place. other than that this sounded amazing....I anticipate this issue will continue with your setup unless it's addressed or repaired. 

This is why it's listed as "for parts/Repair" when it actually does work, but just needs a jerry-rigged wedge on one of the switches.

Pioneer SX-3800 stereo receiver. It is in excellent condition inside and out with powering on and lights working. After the Pioneer SX-X50 and SX-X80 series came the SX-3X00 series. It was the last year and series of the great silver-faced analog receivers from Pioneer. The SX-3800 was the second-largest 3X00 model available at 60 watts per channels after the SX-3900 at 120 watts per channel
