Early Rare Goebel Hummel Mel #116 #117 Girl Boy Candleholder Figurines TMK1

• This is a superb set of very old Hummel's.
• Super-early boy holder has GERMANY marked on the bottom of toy horse.  Other later examples do not have this. 
• Super-early girl has an unusually thin base, possibly making this some kind of a prototype.
• Clearly marked Mel on back of base on each figurine.
• Calling these "TMK1" when "TMK none" might be better as many of these were salesman samples.
• Faces are completely different from later examples (IE. eyes and mouth).
• Pieces have light cosmetic wear (some light crackling & debris mostly).  Girl has tiny chip on base.
• Very early samples have hand written item numbers in pencil!!!!
