*Earnest Sewn was originally founded by Scott Morrison, Eleanor Ylvisaker and Lori Jacobs in 2004. The trio exited the company at various points in 2008 and 2009. I believe these jeans were made in 2008 (USA made). Scott's message as president of Earnest Sewn is printed on one of the inside pockets (see photos). These jeans are pretty rare and really well made.

- Earnest Sewn focused on each individual jean with numerous
amounts of processing, hand application, and refinishing techniques.
- They also intentionally incorporated imperfection and
inconsistency into key design and sewing details shown in irregularities such as stitch
detailing, needlework, sewing construction, trims, thread variation, and the back
pocket stitching.
- Earnest Sewn adopted the Japanese aesthetic system of
traditional beauty, Wabi-Sabi.
- Wabi-Sabi is essentially the beauty of all
things imperfect, impermanent and incomplete.
