Beautiful deep green and brown glass Ifa beads, sacred to Orunmila and worn by Babalawo and Iyanifa alike. Traditionally these beads should be tied onto your body by your Oluwo after completing your initiation. Each order comes with one approx. 7.5-8 inch bracelet to tie off on left wrist and one approx. 24 inch necklace to tie off. The necklace typically hangs higher than traditional Yoruba beads, closer to the heart. I am an Iyalorisa, YeYe / Iyanifa which means I handle all of my items for sale in a state of cleanliness.
Beads measure approx. 1/4" high and over 1/8" wide, these are not tiny.
These traditional Ifa bead strands with the flat cut ends flow together seamlessly and are getting harder to find as the rounded beads are becoming more popular. I prefer these old school traditional beads.
These beads can be used to decorate sacred objects of Ifa such as handles of irokes, irukeres and more.
