1971 black and white 6.5”x5” personal Photo of count Basie & and u.s.i.s. (United states information service ) Ambassador Harold McConeghey, third individual in the photo from the Burmese government is unidentified.photo taken as a private photo for Harold McConeghey by his wife, in Burma (Myanmar) in south East Asia When Mr. McConeghey commissioned Count Basie to play a concert there for the locals and for a small Buddhist temple and the surrounding village in 1971. This was part of the United States federal music project / wpa music program of which MR. McConeghey Worked for many years after working for the FBI. This is in very clean and well kept lightly used condition, no damage or stains that we saw at all.
