John Cruz needs little introduction.

He is considered one of the greatest electric guitar builders of all time, best known for his work as a Fender Custom Shop Master builder. This is an extremely rare chance to get hold of one of his earliest (21st, serial number 021) Masterbuilds from the Fender Custom Shop just after he was appointed a Master Builder having worked in the custom shop for several years.

The guitar is of superb quality as you'd expect with exquisite detail all over and plays like a dream. It has been professionally set up by a Fender expert recently. It's never been gigged and has only received light usage in a smoke free household. The patina on the guitar is lovely and is lightly reliced.

NECK : large V .880-.980 with 9.5 inch radius and Dunlop 6100 fretwire, straight grain maple; FRETBOARD : rosewood (virtually no wear);

BODY : burgundy mist relic; JV Guitars Custom made pre-CBS pic guard;

ELECTRICS : all in working order and never tampered with, custom 60's wound pickups to JC's specs;

HARDWARE : all original and in good condition;

CASE : choice of cases, either the original tweed G&G case with some wear to the outside edges or a brand new, never used (Feb 24) Fender Custom Shop case. All complete with all certification and unopened accessories;
