This listing is for a matching pair of Gorham Sterling Silver compotes decorated in the KING EDWARD pattern. The design features a chased grape embossed outer rim with an embossed floral swag and scroll design surrounding the undecorated center top. Both compotes are marked on the base with the Gorham trademark stamp and "Gorham, Sterling, 385, Cement Loaded". Around the base is a matching grape design to that on the upper rim.
Measures 4" high with the bowl being 7 1/2" in diameter and a 3 3/4" diameter base. Combined weight is 662 grams.
These nice compotes are in very good Estate condition with no major flaws and only a few minor wear issues. One compote has a minor indention on the outside edge of the base that is hardly noticed when sitting upright. Both compotes have minor dings around the bottom edges of the bases and have several faint shadow spots on the inside of the compote's bowls from normal use. The first compote also has a darkened area on the underside of the bowl that is not visible when the compote is sitting upright. These flaws are minor but are listed for accuracy and are included in our photos. Overall, these pretty compotes have a nice appearance and reflect only normal wear and use.
