Unlike the breakfast plate there isn’t a recess for the mug atop this saucer, but for me the proportions of the mug are far more suited to, and ergonomic for, the combination of the mug with tea saucer. I could be wrong, but then I can’t be as it’s my opinion ;)

As with Alessi generally these come in sets of 4/6 & are difficult to source individually. Therefore this set for 2 offers the flexibility in number & in price by not committing you to purchasing a larger set than you require. Of course you can always add to your Dressed collection over time & incrementally, but this can form the perfect nucleus of such a collection.

A perfect housewarming or wedding gift. Alternatively a present to a deserving you, or equally so to perhaps a less deserving friend or family member, it’s surely something that can only improve the quality & ritual of your caffeine libations of a day.

The last three pictures show the accompanying breakfast plate and tea cup from the Dressed collection, so you can appreciate how the design, form of the handles or the hidden relief patterns ties all of these disparate pieces together.
